Policies

Our primary goal is to make your online purchasing experience convenient, quick and secure. To help accomplish this goal, we have developed the following "no-nonsense" policies. If you can't find the answer below, please contact us by email or telephone. We look forward to hearing from you.

Alterations
We custom hem trousers to your inseam measurement. You specify your inseam length when you add trousers to your shopping cart. All other items are factory hemmed to standard sizes. See "Size Charts" for more information. Trousers or slacks hemmed to 27" or less are not returnable or exchangeable.

City Carrier Assistant (CCA) & Transitional Employee (TE)
We can accept your order now for the full $420/$441 voucher amount! Follow the steps below to place your order.

  1. Find the Letter Carrier/MVS items you want and add them to your cart. When finished, select the "Checkout" button.
  2. IMPORTANT: Please check the size chart for your proper sizes in postal uniforms. This is especially important for women as the uniforms are not sized the same as your regular clothes.
  3. Before you reach our secure checkout form, you will be asked to supply your allowance amount and craft. Enter the amount remaining from your Letter of Authorization (Voucher) and select City Carrier Assistant for your craft. Click the "Checkout" button. View Sample Letter of Authorization
  4. Complete our secure checkout form. If your order exceeds the Voucher amount use the "Other Payment" section to enter your personal credit card information. Your personal card will not be charged until we receive payment from the USPS under the Voucher program.
  5. We will need your Letter of Authorization in order to process your order. We ask that you email or fax it, so that we may begin the payment process and get your order to you as soon as possible. Please fax to 954-958-9122, Attention: PUUS/CCA/TE, or scan and email to support@postaluniforms.us. Please mail the original Letter of Authorization to Postal Uniforms US, 6555 Powerline Rd Suite 403, Ft Lauderdale, FL 33309. Your order will ship when we can confirm with your station manager that payment will be authorized.

Returns
Customer satisfaction is our goal. All merchandise in resalable unused condition may be returned for exchange or a refund within one year of purchase. If used and found defective, we will exchange or repair within one year of the purchase date when accompanied by your receipt.

Please try on your new garment soon upon receipt to make sure it fits to your satisfaction. Do so before washing or wearing. Trousers or slacks hemmed to 27" or less are not returnable or exchangeable.

Shoe returns: When you return a defective shoe, we will examine it and assess the damage. In most cases, we will be able to make a determination and immediately issue a replacement or a credit. Occasionally, we will need to send the shoe back to the manufacturer for final determination. In these cases, it can take 6 to 8 weeks for the manufacturer's decision. We will notify you if there is a problem with your return and continue follow up with the manufacturer on your behalf to try to minimize the time required to resolve the issue.

We accept the return of any item that has not been used and is still in the original packaging. If you are returning an item and want a different size, we will pay for shipping of the replacement item(s) back to you. You pay for shipping to us. If you are returning an item due to an error in shipping or defective merchandise, please contact customer service, and we will refund your postage.

When returning an item, use the return form which came in your package, or before sending, please call (800) 741-7502 to get a return authorization number.

Shipping
In the Continental U.S., all packages will be shipped via USPS Priority; See accompanying chart for estimated shipping time. All packages to Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands will be shipped USPS Priority. Delivery is free on all orders in the Continental United States of $25 or more and a delivery fee of $3 will be charged on orders under $25. Priority mail charge will be $7 for customers in Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands and $10 for Guam. Please indicate whether to charge your USPS Citibank credit card or your personal credit card on the "Special Instructions / Comments" section of the checkout page. Some special order shoes are shipped directly from our vendors to you and would come in a separate shipment. The packing list would indicate when this has occurred on an item.

Sales Tax
Sales tax is not required on orders paid with your uniform allowance.

Sales tax may be collected on the amount of your order which exceeds your uniform allowance if you live in a state that requires the collection of such tax. If required, we will apply the appropriate sales tax to your order and include it in your invoice when your order is shipped.

Pricing
Our Internet prices are discounted and significantly lower than many authorized postal uniform vendors. Our prices are subject to change at any time without notice. We review the pricing on each order and reserve the right to correct inaccurate pricing before an order is shipped. If inaccurate pricing is found, we will notify you before we ship your order.

Stock Numbers
The stock numbers listed on our website are used by us to identify the associated item. In some cases, our stock numbers are equivalent to certain manufacturers' stock numbers. This does not mean that we are limited to supplying only one particular brand from one particular manufacturer. We will always search out the best bargains on approved merchandise at the highest quality available and freely substitute lower cost brands in order to keep our prices low.

Privacy
In order to process your order and obtain authorization from the USPS Uniform Program, we will ask you for certain necessary information, such as your name, mail address, telephone number, email address, and shipping and billing information. In addition, we may, from time to time, ask for information related to an online survey, participation in a sweepstakes offer, or subscription to a newsletter or mailing list.

The information you provide is kept confidential and, subject to this policy, will only be used to support your customer relationship with us. We use a third party intermediary to perform certain order-processing functions. Any information we provide to this third party intermediary is used for the sole purpose of order processing. The information provided by you is not disclosed to any outside organization unless required by law or other regulatory authority.

If another entity acquires us or substantially all of our assets, the personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information we have about you will be transferred to and used by this acquiring entity. Also, if any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding is brought by or against us, all such information may be considered an asset of ours and as such may be sold or transferred to third parties.

Like many companies, we use “cookie” technology to keep track of your shopping cart. The cookie does not contain any personal information about you and is not used for any other purpose.

We also collect certain information from visitors and customers of our website, such as Internet addresses. This information is logged to help diagnose technical problems, improve the quality of our service and administer our website. Aggregate usage and volume statistics may be provided to third parties.
